Does it matter? Nothing bad is going to happen to the company and definitely nothing is going to happen to the racist shitcunt at the top of it.

  2. demolidor57 on

Not surprising honestly. Europe has way more EV options now and Tesla hasn’t refreshed the lineup in a while.

  3. this idea that Tesla should be a top carmaker and is such an emergency if it is not…

there is a word for it

it s corporate propaganda and this sub should have rules against it

  4. Baset-tissoult28 on

Always have been a meme company.

It’s main product he sells is robbing out the investors.

  5. Adorable-Database187 on

Has Elon tried building better cars and being less of an insufferable prick.

  6. TopSpread9901 on

Might have to do with the sieg heiling cunt at the head of it.

  7. TeaBaggingGoose on

For me I’m not buying a car which enriches someone I feel is a Nazi. FullStop.

  8. verspringert on

Don’t understand why Elon hasn’t been axed from Tesla. I’d probably buy an m3 now if it weren’t for him being ceo.

  9. Because teslas are full of issues and defects and the company is owned by a facist. On top of that, I just think they’re ugly.

How elon fucked up tesla perfect market position is something that should be studied, and hopefully in the future laugh at

Everything because he was more worried about growing the far right, because he did not want to use LIDAR against his own experts opinions, and because of his mismanagement and antagonistic attitude towards european governments.

  11. Own-Branch-5137 on

Maybe doing a sieg heil to the world has consequences idk.

Let’s see the “free marketer” cry and twerk for more subsidies from Daddy Trump

Besides Elon Musk being a Nazi, the truth is Tesla is quite behind. The design is outdated, the technology is lacking, the comfort is sufferable at best, and the quality is non existent like always.

  14. NotForMeClive7787 on

The brand is poison. I wouldn’t be seen dead in one even if they lowered the price significantly. I could never ignore the heinous shit he’s done and continues to spout on twitter daily….he’s a prick

  15. Been a while since I saw a recent image of the fascist asshole.

His hair implants seem to be failing. Guess his transphobic ass should schedule another gender affirming care treatment.

I own a Tesla. Bought it because of range and price at the time.

I would avoid buying it again because of Musk, and like the article says, a lot of choices available (both European and Chinese).

The car is far from perfect.

  17. Funny how the article avoids to mention that Musk is going full racist/nazi… and still is until today!

And that does not sit well with the possible customers of Tesla over here!

  18. EcstaticHelp771 on

    It’s a no‑win situation:

Normal people don’t want their money going to someone tied to Nazi stuff.
And the people who are into Nazi ideas usually hate electric cars.

  19. Kalpothyz on

Europe do not like death traps for cars. Put some mechanical door handles on it… oh and get rid of the Nazi saluting CEO.

  20. alloutofchewingum on

If you’d asked me 5 years ago what my next car would be I would have said 100% a Tesla. Today I’m actively looking and you couldn’t pay me to take one. And it’s purely because Elon’s a jackass

  21. imtired-boss on

Part of the reason is because Elon Musk is a nazi and performed the nazi salute twice in 10 seconds publicly and passionately.

    Europe doesn’t like nazis.

  22. Narration of that article was “interesting”. It’s essentially talks like there is only Tesla and China’s manufacturers Europe’s EV market. Completely ignoring ones from Europe or Japan. Only at the end. Put them to same bag as Tesla, that they can learn and maybe make more competitive cars in the future.

  23. It doesn’t take a genius.

Most businesses try very very hard not to have political connotations, except for cosmetic reasons (e.g. Nike or Adidas showing a pride flag in the West but nothing in Saudi Arabia).

People who choose to go electric mostly do it for environmental reasons and the least likely to care about the environment are the far righters like Musk, so he pandered to the extremist fringes least likely to buy a Tesla.

The only question is why Tesla shareholders are still enabling him. I guess they think Tesla public image cannot be dissociated from him even if they wanted.

  24. DlphLndgrn on

Even if we ignore that Elon is a fascist actively trying to meddle in European politics, Teslas are just not very good cars. They are American cars with “american build quality”, they are not comfortable or very good looking. It’s not a strange thing if they are not doing well. They don’t magically deserve to be doing well, it’s not some right they have.

  25. Elon is having a significant effect on peoples decision to buy them. But there is also another big problem they face which is that their cars are long in the tooth and a bit ‘meh’.

The software might be excellent but there hasn’t been a new model in Europe since before Covid. They have tweaked a few things like the lights but there are no new models in the pipeline and even if they announced something new today their track record of delivering in a reasonable time frame is woeful.

There was a time when they were leading the way and there was a good reason they were market leaders at the time . But now other manufacturers have overtaken them with far more variety and options.

A few years ago I was looking at changing cars and was very keen on the Model 3. A change or circumstance meant I decided to hold off for a while and when I got back to looking again it didnt even feature on my shortlist. This was at a time when Elon was still considered just a bit weird rather than full on nutjob so it was purely a decision based on the cars.

Frankly I dont see how they can continue as a car manufacturer for much longer.

  26. I know a lot of people are talking about Musk’s actions but one of the things that people rarely call out with Tesla these days is just how there are more competitors, the quality hasn’t improved and they aren’t the most innovative for years. Tesla before was hugely innovative but had quality issues so people overlooked some of the bugs or QC issues but they haven’t released a new car that is available in Europe (the Cybertruck is rightfully banned) but VW, BYD, Polstar, Renault all of them are doing pretty good cars that are better built, they aren’t as good on software really but are still more interesting than Tesla nowadays. The whole antics has turned off people who still saw the company as innovative but if you were paying attention you probably wouldn’t have been interested in their products for the last 5 years really.

  27. daiaomori on

Yeah well I mean the CEO supports far right parties that are under surveillance for being full blown fascists and have a potential to be banned, and he endorses them even more by crying out about „censorship“.

It hurts less to buy a Chinese EV at this point, and given European options, even that isn’t really necessary.

I have no clue why the stock is worth anything at this point.

  28. Aware-Instance-210 on

Don’t even need to read the article.

“and here’s why” *shows picture of Elon*

  29. GoethesFinest on

Well well well, guess there are consequences to having a literal Neonazi as the CEO of your company.

  30. IrefusetoturnVPNoff on

Musk really paid a fortune for that hair, then sat down at a barbers and said “The Kim Jong-Un, please”

  31. Menefregoh on

    > Try to undermine European authorities and larp as a nazi

    > Flagship company sales crumble in europe

Damn who could have seen this coming?

  32. NeedleGunMonkey on

Tesla Europe is the worst combination of Silicon Valley VC attitude towards development, a weirdo cult leader,PRC Shanghai captive JV manufacturing for outsourcing.

May it spiral to the ground.

  33. Gullible_fool_99 on

Tesla just cannot compete with the quality of vehicle coming out of China now. Other manufacturers are also catching up.
