I’ve just moved back to Ireland and hearing Tom Dunne's show on Newstalk has been unexpectedly comforting.

Best show on Radio, makes evening shifts so much better.

  2. He has class taste in music, one of the best on the radio for sure.

That and Alison Curtis’s The Last Splash are a throwback. Has anyone put together a playlist for the latter show yet?

Tom is a gent, a class act who plays great music, can tell a story and is a great interviewer. However, when he is away and Richie McCormack is in the chair…that’s when the show diverges out to all sorts of unexpected genres and areas. But overall agree and I am a regular listener.

  5. I have to say that we have probably the best radio in the English speaking world. It even seems to be surviving the podcast/streaming age.

He has one of the most soothing voices (something about the tone/delivery) in radio and tells some amazing stories from his time in the limelight

Nice playlist. Like you, I used to listen to him loads back in the day, but not so much lately, so lots of memories scrolling through those songs. Only surprised not to see some early Stereophonics on there. I remember Tom playing them a lot. Great to see Hal on there too.

Always loved Stuck together with God’s glue from his Something Happens days. And there was the time I was in Whelans, carrying pints down the stairs, slipped on the last step and he picked me up and checked to see if I was OK. Nice lad
