Terrible choice of cover image + title for this story. Thankfully those potato crisps are fine.

More people would have been buying them if they weren’t two pound fucking 75

I’m still sad that the mixed veggie crisps seemed to completely take over from the parsnip crisps I remember having as a kid.

I don’t want carrot and beetroot crisps, but I never feel like it’s polite to selectively pick out the parsnip ones when a mixed bag is on offer. 🫠

I wanted to like these, but every time I’ve bought them they’ve been excessively greasy, which seems odd for veg crisps.

Glennans was the successful business local to me that Tyrell’s acquired for making veg crisps. Bit of a shame it’s ended this way.

I ate a big bag of veg crisps and there were loads of beetroot ones in there. The next day I went for a shit and panicked that the toilet water was red and I thought I was bleeding from my arse. It was only when I remembered the beetroot that I realised I wasn’t dying.

What are you left with if you’re not making crisps from veg? Meat crisps? Crispy mushrooms?

Have potatoes become distinct from vegetables when I wasn’t paying attention?

They want 3 quid for a bag and are surprised that demand is decreasing.

Tesco ones are for £1.5/1.7 clu card price.

  10. Amazed it’s because of a lack of demand and not because they’re incredibly unhealthy compared to potato crisps. They nearly have 10g more fat than potato crisps, or 1/3 more. Usually that’s the cause for dropping certain lines.

  11. I absolutely love the veg crisps but they keep getting more expensive and seem to be increasingly full of beetroot and grease instead of the parsnip crisps that I actually want.

The supermarket ones are cheaper and the same quality so I don’t feel like it’s a huge loss really. It feels planned if anything.

I hope someone can make a better version. They are too oily for me and far too expensive.

I find them dull because they don’t flavor them. If you could get salt and vinegar ones I’d get them

someone needs to explain to the title writer that a potato is a vegetable

Man, no. Are there any good alternatives that the mainstream supermarkets stock?

Their veg chips are lovely, I do prefer any bags that use carrots instead of sweet potato 100% of the time, but there’s no way to justify the price of them. Even on clubcard they’re a rip off.

Between that and paying for half the royal wedding im surprised they aren’t bankrupt

Weird that I was just commenting on how I’ve not seen them for a while. Last time I binge ate a whole pack of them and a big bag of cashews during a sad night trapped in a premier inn.

Sharted myself half to death for hours.

Noooo, I can’t eat nightshades and these were my go to when i wanted a crisp!

This is the only thing I know Tyrrells for, and that they’re very expensive crisps

Keep supplying them to kings landing, or be declared enemys of the crown!
