This is Iran firing on European territory, surely this triggers a NATO response?
Wow. Downvotes are nuts. Not even allowed to question what happens next. What is there to disagree with?

Full quote was “fired in the direction of”. Very likely was still over land and unclear what the final target would be

Are people now satisfied the comments made yesterday were about defensive assets rather than saying we were involved. It was a bit nuts for a while how simple words were twisted.

All missiles fired at Israel could be said to be fired towards UK Cyprus base.
States in the article that they don’t feel it was targetted. Probably target overshoots.
Could be due to numerous reasons including this:
>**Atmospheric Drag:** For long-range missiles re-entering the atmosphere, unexpected fluctuations in atmospheric density can affect the trajectory, leading to an overshoot if the air is thinner than modeled.

So they fired missiles towards Israel.
There should be no UK involvement at all. Need to cut welfare but can spend that money on fuel and weapons to help Israel.

For context because there is a lot of false information in this thread, Cyprus isn’t in the trajectory of an Iran to Israel missile. The island is too far north and Iran doesn’t go south enough.
