Very funny from a British pov, on both sides.

France, because it’s France and they’ve been so whiny about AUKUS.

Germany because they bailed on their project with Britain post Brexit vote and look where it got them. Delicious.

Dassault’s vision of co-operation being “shut up and do as we say”

  3. I’ll be shocked if FCAS ever happens… At least GCAP is proceeding along nicely.

  4. Whatever the way out of this drama is going to be it would be nice if they could put their heads together and decide on it finally even if it is a breakup. We are just wasting time we don’t have.

  5. But will they only kill the fighter jet or will the entire FCAS combat cloud die?

I’m not European so I’m not too informed about this, but can’t France do it alone?

I know it’s going to be a difficult task but they got some great companies over there. Safran for the engine and Thales for the EW part of the 6th Gen fighter recipe.

The journalists are getting some serious use out of the FCAS debacle. It’s a weekly article at this point telling us all its doomed to fail and the French are the issue then the week after it’s the Germans fault.

The Germans have a great opportunity to build an unmanned drone with the performance and weaponry of a 6th generation fighter.
Then it won’t matter to them which aircraft they choose – French, American, or Tempest.
