…yeah, I guessed this would be the case. For all the so-called ‘rules’ landlords apparently have to follow, there isn’t a significant system to hold them to account, which is why there are so many slum landlords in the country.
Almost like giving their scumbag class carte blanche to do whatever they want has far reaching and detrimental consequences long term.
