Thats price gauging if ive ever seen it.

    Currently 175 in Co. Clare

  2. Straight_at_em on

But the Taoiseach said there’d be no price gouging!

Oooh it’s so exciting! Who will be first to break the €2 mark?!

  4. Key_Duck_6293 on

Either all petrol stations are manipulating the market by price gouging collectively, or none of them are, because I haven’t seen a single petrol station that hasn’t significantly raised its prices since Israel & its subservient ally attacked Iran

It’ll be over €2 all over the country shortly. No tankers are sailing through the Strait of Hormuz. Some fuel stations refill tanks daily and are buying at a higher rate. No doubt there is some gouging going on but this will be a common price in a few days.

The Texaco garages seem to be the worse. There was a 16c sent difference for diesel between two garages in my local town this morning. Texaco 1.97, applegreen 1.81

If only we hadn’t removed our extensive rail structure, actually the government would have taxed the bejaysus out of it anyway making it another expensive luxury.

Government could cut excise on fuel. They won’t though because their fuel is paid for by the taxpayer and not them. Doesn’t really matter to them how high fuel prices get.

Thank god I filled up on Wednesday at 173.9c. It should keep my going for a month

Made the mistake of leaving it too long to fill and got caught by the hike, spend like 90 euro and didnt even fill the tank

Time to get the bike out of the shed!

Let these lads keep their expensive diesel, i hope they go broke.

It’s worth it for the freedom of the western world !!!

And for the Epstein files .

More surprised people are shocked by this.

Wait til it actually gets high.

Cool, I didn’t know the tankers and the refineries were so fast. I thought it takes weeks for the oil to be transported and processed into diesel and petrol. Must have been wrong about that. Unlike electricity, which takes time to travel so it cant get more expensive in barely a week, the crude oil travels at the speed of an airplane.

Navan was about 1.85 for diesel when I got on the road up North last night. At the start of this week, it was 1.71.

For reference, the North is probably about 15-20p per litre more expensive than when I was last up a couple of weeks ago. Though this still comes to about 20-30c cheaper than in the Republic.

202.9 in Certa, Old Kells Road, Navan. A disgrace. The government need to take action NOW

They won’t be able to resist taking the piss everywhere else – a cup of muck coffee will be a tenner by the end of the week. Mark my words.

  20. cupan-tae on

I filled up in Lusk on Wednesday at 1.78. Shouldn’t be that high surely

  21. Whampiri1 on

Normally the cheapest in Cork, the Garage on the link road has diesel at 194.9! That’s 20c up on this time last month!

  22. Unfair_Special_8017 on

Someone should make stickers with trumps face saying “I did that”!

  23. kaiserspike on

Fucks sake, this is why we have a reserve. Prices shouldn’t go up until that runs out and the new stock has been replenished at the more expensive prices. Gougers be gouging.

  24. ChalupaBatmanMc01 on

The petrol station I regularly go too shot up by 10c on Monday(!).

  25. Internal_Sun_9632 on

And with the same fuel in the stations tanks. Pure greed and nothing will happen. Buy an EV and put these lads out of business.

  26. Professional-Count32 on

Report any price gouging to the CCPC on (01) 402 5555. We’re all in this together

  27. 1.85 – 1.90 seems to be the average in Cork. My loval garage is currently 183.9 but could see it rising quite soon.
