Becoming abundantly clear that people are telling reform to firmly fuck off. Good.

I see, so we’ve had a post about the seismic Labour victory in Murton, now the Greens “Landslide” in Stroud.

Yesterday, Reform won 2 of the 5 Council By-Elections for context. The Greens came in with less than 5% of the vote in the 95%+ white British ward of Murton where Labour won. Read into that what you will.

It turns out playing to the X audience doesn’t translate into the real world.

Reform is not in touch with reality!

There was talk that Polanski’s version of the Greens was going to alienate their voters in the ‘Gardening Greens’ areas like Stroud.. so this is encouraging for them even if just a minor council result.

    “Her victory, receiving 540 votes…”

    Landslide indeed.

Reform made the mistake of taking Tories, they should have just stuck to their guns.

This is Stroud. The District Council is run by the Greens, and the town elected the Greens for 6 out of its 11 councillors to the County Council (Reform sent 2).

I’d be more shocked if they didn’t win this seat.

As someone who lives in the area, Stroud is known as a very left-wing area, to the extent that people from the area get called hippies just for living there.

I’m happy to see left-leaning parties winning and Reform losing, but this isn’t an unexpected victory.
