Just filled the tank. Used to cost 70-75. Cost me 95. Did 95 on the motorway on the way home😅

Because Ireland imports much more proportion of refined diesel than petrol. With the markets spiking in such a short term, the diesel gets hit quicker as we had to start paying higher prices for importing it sooner.
Petrol will get there and close the gap soon.

Just drove across Dublin and noticed all circle k are about this price but all others are much lower, especially on diesel. Given the public attention on it they must actually be losing a fortune to competitors.

Outrage at the pumps, wait till the next round of electric and gas bills come in, fun times ahead, so fun I think we will be glad to see 190/200 as a price when its in the range of 300/400 a litre !
