All 3 that actually got something out of the NHS?

And can we not use the term trans identifying, it’s so freaking gross

  2. If these drugs are banned, transgender people will seek out alternatives illegally, and they will not be safer.

Oh, thank goodness, the most important political issue of our age is solved!

I can’t imagine what it’s like to be in a minority so small, which is obsessed over by so many. Just leave people alone. If you don’t want to change your gender, don’t, but stop moralising and victimising those who do.

So nothing to do with politics surrounding trans-identification, and all down to tangible concerns over serious long term impacts on physical and mental health on individuals. Seems sensible to me.

_Edit: And yet people still feel the need to downvote this comment as their personal beliefs are more important than the wider concerns surrounding the health and wellbeing of children. It’s baffling._

my problems with this change aside:

“children under the age of 18”

is there such a thing as a child that’s not under the age of 18? I’ve heard some weird fucking tautologies in my day but this one is a doozy because it more than triples the length of just using “children” or more than double the length of using “under 18s”. the brevity ratio compared to “U18s” is like 5x, crazy numbers!

The NHS prescribes hormones? I didn’t know they had any. I thought it was like the pot of gold at the end of the waiting list.

    Cross-sex hormones?

We all have both oestrogen and testosterone in our bodies.

[A week after finding out the person who was dictating the pause to the clincial trial into blockers had a history of mocking trans people on social media](https://bsky.app/profile/jolyon.goodlawproject.org/post/3mgf66j3p5c2l) that was actively beinf covered up, everyone goes right back to deciding the nhs can be trusted to being impartial on trans peoples healtcare.

Its [not like the conservatives werent bragging about stuffing these positions with people whos sole interest was fucking over trans people](https://x.com/i/status/1799509912143151611)
