Lì si afferma che è esentasse se è per uso personale, ma sulle restrizioni sulla lista dei valori, viene menzionata un’indennità di € 430 per i viaggiatori via mare/aereo. Ora la mia domanda è: questo vale anche per gli oggetti personali? La dicitura mi crea un po’ di confusione. L’anno scorso ho portato con me il mio laptop e la mia macchina fotografica (del valore di oltre 430 euro) quando ho visitato e non ho attraversato l’uscita del canale rosso, non ci sono stati problemi. Questa volta sono più preoccupata perché porterò con me le nostre fedi nuziali. Devo comunque dichiarare gli anelli? Augh. Citizenship doesn’t matter. Citizenship and residence are *different* things.
Try to think about this coherently. Basic principle: Germany wants to charge tax on items being brought into Germany to stay there permanently (with some exceptions like the value under 430 euro).
If you *live* in Germany, buy something while outside the country, and then return to Germany…do they want to tax it?
Now consider the situation that you’re a tourist, and you bring some stuff to Germany for 2 weeks to watch a football match, and then you leave again with your stuff. Do they want to tax that?
You didn’t say what is closer to your actual situation, but hopefully by applying the basic principle you can figure out the answer yourself.
