Based on the article its not that he refused to sell Halal, its that he was actively anti-Halal and promotes it (as well as alleged anti-muslim sentiments) on social media. He then described the people complaining as “inbreds” and tried to pick a fight with the protestors, forcing the police to arrest him. He also seems to have a history of picking these sort of politically charged fights, describing himself as an activist.
Of course that doesn’t mean he should be harassed or forced to close his restaurant, but it is a lot more complicated than just refusing to sell Halal as the headline suggests.

Harman Singh Kapoor and his wife Khushi own Rangrez in Hammersmith and have stated that their restaurant is non-Halal, with the words **“proudly we don’t sell Halal”** on the front window.
Kapoor also actively shares posts that have divided social media users, including promoting the “non-Halal” aspect of his restaurant and alleged anti-Muslim sentiments.
This has caused controversy and it has led to him and his business being targeted.
These people are just trolling the Muslim community and getting exactly what they wanted.
Imagine if another restaurant had “proudly not serving Kosher” in the window, let alone sending out anti Jewish tweets.

Wouldn’t this be simply resolved by having a bold sign with an assortment of pork, bacon and ham products?

Bots in the comments? Absolutely wild stuff going on.
I’ve actually tried to book a table at this restaurant before and the owner’s behaviour is why it’s literally the only restaurant in Hammersmith me and my friend said we’d never go to. He’s a prize knob in general. The whole supporting the far-right thing just goes with it.
Wild to see people sounding off about halal food without reading anything to do with this, because this isn’t a bloke you want to be supporting. The guy tweeted “Proudly don’t serve halal meat. We don’t cater to inbreds”.

He could have just put up “we dont sell halal food”
Its the use of “proudly” that makes it goading and blatantly disrespectful. He did that on purpose.
Not surprised he got physical with the protestors who got upset about his attempt to upset them. Clearly that guy has some stuff he needs to work through.

Halal and kosher slaughter should be banned in the UK! It’s deliberately and unnecessarily cruel and should have no part of modern society!
