A British billionaire convicted in the US for failing to implement adequate money-laundering controls on his cryptocurrency business is funding a political base in the heart of Westminster used by “anti-woke” and rightwing activists.

Ben Delo, 42, who was pardoned by Donald Trump last year, has given support in kind to Rupert Lowe, the anti-migration MP challenging Nigel Farage from the right – while also connecting with mainstream figures including the Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch and former cabinet minister Michael Gove.

There’s something really pathetic about this Musk-type billionaire that chases clout with the right wing mob. Comes across as so desperate for affirmation – whereas most the billionaires you never hear of are happy to just quietly stay out of the public eye and eat babies or whatever the fuck it is they do.

So we’ve got this ex-convict crypto billionaire funding Rupert Lowe, then there’s Thailand-based crypto billionaire [Christopher Harborne](https://www.reuters.com/world/uk/nigel-farages-reform-uk-party-lands-second-big-donation-crypto-investor-2026-03-05/), aka Chakrit Sakunkrit, giving record-breaking donations to Nigel Farage.

I wonder why these types seem to want to massively finance to the far right? Since Reform and co are all about standing up for the white working classes against the ivory tower elites, why would migrant billionaires want to support them? Surely migrant billionaires wouldn’t benefit from having working-class heroes like Farage and Lowe in charge, making laws to make things better for the British poor?

Ban crypto, it’s only used by pyramid schemes and criminals who don’t want to be tracked. A vile technology that only serves the tech sector and further damages our environment.

No technology is inherently evil, but one that burns energy for the sake of it is pretty fucking close. And I say this as someone who writes software for a living.

I will never not be totally baffled by these idiots voting right wing parties to rage against the elite and powerful and totally overlook how they’re all funded by the shadiest and most suspicious billionaires on the planet.

What do these idiots think a bunch of greedy evil billionaires trying to control politics would even look like, when they can’t spot it happening right under their nose?

The Guardian when people with right-wing views express their right-wing views: “😱 Isn’t this illegal or something?!”
