Mio fratello ed io abbiamo girato per la zona di Berna e abbiamo visto un ragazzo sul ciglio della strada che cercava di fermarci per chiedere aiuto. Abbiamo smesso di pensare che la sua macchina fosse in panne. Ha iniziato a raccontarci una storia su come viene dalla Bellarussia, è quasi senza benzina e ha bisogno di soldi svizzeri per pagarla e di cibo per la sua famiglia, che è con lui in macchina. Aveva solo soldi dal suo paese e ci dava la stessa cifra in cambio.
Gli ho 150 in cambio di 1000 di qualunque cosa sia. Sapevo che non sarebbe stato così grande come aveva affermato, e l’ho scritto come se avessi fatto una buona azione. Ma una volta all’ufficio di cambio mi hanno detto che questi soldi sono stati messi in servizio dal 2016 e completamente privi di valore dal 2022. Non mi aspettavo che fossero inutili.
Comunque, fai attenzione a questa truffa! E non essere credulone come lo ero io… Inoltre, non aprire completamente la finestra per gli estranei! Lezioni apprese.

applying a bit of common sense helps sometimes..
They can just go to a bank and exchange if their story would be legit
The exact same scam happened to me near Geneva last week! Luckily I didn’t have my wallet, they were very convincing
They tried it with me once around a small town in Luzern. I had a bad feeling of it all, like something telling me to not accept the money. I just said I had no money with me whatsoever and left. Sorry for your shitty situation 🤷♀️
Write down the plate number, call the police when the truth is revealed

Nevermind the people telling you that you were gullible. this kind of thing really can happen to a lot of people and even to those who believe themselves to be very smart or cunning. The most important part is that both you and the people you are informing about this learn to recognize this kind of scam.

I mean. I use common sense. A guy in geneva needed money for a train ticket, 10 chf. We were like 30 minutes by foot from the train station, my common sense told me he would be at the station to ask the money if he really needed them
