This feels pointless if they’re going to just let deeply misogynistic religions go unchallenged.

The only thing that can really be done by government is to reinvest in community and particularly third spaces. Fat chance of that happening.

Another case of the symptom rather than the cause being addressed.

I knew if I read far enough down that article they would have the justification for this as “reducing the effect on women and girls”.

Not worth it for its own sake, ofc

The manosphere influencers are already rightfully disliked by most and Ofcom has been shown to be toothless by the professional shitposters on 4chan.

Can we have some actually tech literate members in both houses for once, please?

By protect, it means ban them from being able to see content they don’t approve of. Perhaps instead provide an alternative model of masculine role model for these lost young men.

Push for a higher percentage of male teachers. Make life affordable and paternity pay more accessible, so fathers are a larger part of the kids life and families stay together.

Ban ban ban doesn’t work. Silencing these parasitic influencers from the incel side wont make this go away. Did Tate go away when removed from platforms and even imprisoned?

The ‘toxic masculinity’ bashing message that seems so prevalent throughout culture must be addressed. It is doing more harm than good. Because those lacking nuance, self reflection, or simply too young to understand it simply take it as a personal attack. Sending them into Tate and co’s grubby hands.

Maybe start addressing the reasons that young men start looking to these sort of people rather than start trying to hyperobserve them to report them for “toxic masculinity” or accuse them of being mysoginists.

Nah that’d take effort, inb4 the UK government just tries to order Youtube and streaming platforms about on what they can or can’t show and we get those blocked in the UK too. Great.

I hate everything the mannosphere stands for. But unless laws are being broken, I don’t want my government telling me what I can and can’t watch.

How though? How are Ofcom supposed to be able to do anything? Politicians are hopeless at dealing with anything internet related.

Are they finally taking an interest in the well beings of men and boys?

    First line:

    >Group says measures to curb harmful content will also help to tackle violence against women and girls

    Ah of course not.

    >while 91% of sextortion victims are male

Worth remembering this is classified as violence against women and girls despite 91% of the victims being male.
