Good. Many countries have extra taxes on alcohol and tobacco to counter the fact that those that consume them will likely become a greater burden on public healthcare. It’s not a perfect system but it works, so the same should be done for sugary products.
If someone doesn’t stop them soon purchasing a cakes will be a luxury.

We could be in the middle of WW3 with nuclear bombs detonating in Berlin and german politicians would be like „I got some nice idea for new taxes“
What’s next? Tax the salt cuz it can create health problem too?

Sugar tax is fine, but it should probably be coupled by reducing the VAT on the healthier foods.
