>To address this challenge, we review the existing literature and CoSS models, focusing on their similarities and differences with the aim to integrate insights from various scientific communities. Additionally, we present a novel model for engineering the concept of safety and security (eCoSS) boundaries in industrial settings from an IT perspective. Notably, this model distinguishes itself by incorporating computational engineering research primarily focused on mathematical modeling and visualizing eCoSS boundaries. The computational results point out that the relationships of eCoSS phenomena are defined by the distance perimeter (k), while their delimitation is represented by a line as a set of points {Bi}. Furthermore, we provide a comparative review of our model with all other identified models in the literature. Finally, the extensive theoretical and computational results not only validate and clarify the latent CoSS boundaries and relationships, reducing confusion and ambiguity in its strategy, but also pave the way for future research into its practical application through the development of a CoSS integration tool.
