I hate the term “expats”, they’re immigrants. They don’t get a pass because they’re European

“Couldn’t afford to be a teacher in Ireland” speaks volumes about the cost of living, housing and rip off culture nowadays in Ireland.

What was once a great occupation here is no longer viable and it’s going to get worse.

‘Couldn’t afford to be a teacher in Ireland’

Got used to paying no tax more like.

Also it’s literally illegal to criticise the government in UAE. If these people are fearing for their lives, they won’t be telling newspapers about it.

Good to see the times covering challenges faced by immigrants

Couldn’t afford to pay tax and live without servants like the suckers at home but will immediately tap into the public purse when things get uncomfortable in the fascist theocracy.

  6. To be honest, I’m not sure I want my kids taught by someone who values paying no tax over the human suffering that UAE endorses.

The UAE tolerates slavery and suppression of women rights on its own shores and is supporting genocide in Sudan with weapon supplies.
