      This is so funny.

The traffic lights were supposed to be the fix.
      They did not fix anything.

      Classic Cyprus.

Only advice I have for you. Do not live in Limassol.

      Big city problems.

Limassol grew fast, in short time. Infrastructure accommodating growth is a tricky beast, and few countries know how to handle it well.

We have issues much like this in Toronto & the area around it, even though the city is much larger the core issues seem to overlap often.

In any case I wish I had some advice beyond that if I see that my day might have me around the area during rush hour, I do what I can to break up my plans over a few days in an effort to avoid the problem areas. Otherwise I kinda just vibe in that traffic quagmire if I’m found stuck in it, little else to do.

This isn’t advice that’s worth following, just my own personal compromises with the issue at hand.

But I get your frustration, sometimes I even feel it too.

Dynamic traffic lights and sensors in the roads to and from the circle to determine where the traffic is and turn on or off the lights at different frequencies. Traffic just happens when there are more cars coming to a crossing than being taken away.

The traffic lights in the roundabout are a mess but the issue is not the controlled roundabout its the people not following those rules, they enter on red and they block the roundabout for the ones that have green. and its a standstill constantly. I’m pretty sure if they add cameras this issue will be solved like magic.

    6. hmm to all people saying the traffic lights made things worse: it didn’t

it actually reduced traffic a bit, traffic used to go all the way down to spyro kyrpianou road and beyond, now its not quite their in peak hours, obviously problem is still here but at least they tried; only solution here is a bridge over a bridge.. or congestion tarrifs let us poors stay at home or at work while the rich mfer roam the streets in peace :’)
