I don’t understand – do Reform candidates lie more than other party’s candidates?
Or are other parties better at checking information that’s already in the public domain like social media, companies house, etc?

That SoB should know, it seems to be the modus operandi of Reform. “We’ll cut council tax” -> “Council tax going up in Reform councils” -> “Council tax has to go up”.
Wonder how many potential Reform voters will have missed the bit from Farage saying CT has to go up?

I mean the whole point of the “vetting procedure” is to check if people have lied.
If your vetting procedure isn’t catching liars then the answer is not to shrug your shoulders and say “well people lie” it’s to apologise for the failures in your vetting procedure and pledge to fix them, then actually do the fixing them bit.
