At this point bbc presenters should start in prison and prove their way out.

Phil got away with this, as he knew him before he was 16 but dated him as a runner on this morning. If that isn’t grooming when he’s got a brother who went to jail for doing SA, to minors.

    >The BBC has been approached for comment about the police investigation.

Always seems a bit weird when a BBC news article says that.

Um, given it didn’t end up in any charges or even a caution, is this really appropriate for the police to disclose?

Not to defend him, just this will absolutely stick to him going forward. Seems harsh given nothing came of the investigation

Do you have to be a nonce to begin with to work at the BBC or is it like a training and development thing you do once hired?

Unless there’s a bunch of evidence that’s also recently come to light that isn’t discussed in the article, hasn’t this guy’s life just been completely upended and ruined for… not being guilty of a crime?

Maybe it’s the BBC being harder on this kind of stuff after Saville, but it really does seem to fly in the face of how we’re supposed to do due process in this country.

He’s going to get a trial by media now.
