i mean, technicaly its not a pizza variant, its an open-ended cheese sandwitch “ostesmørbrød”
had them a lot when i was a kid, because theyre so easy to make. you take a slice of bread, ketchup, and cheese, put it in the oven to melt and thats all you really need, though i used to have “grillkrydder” on top too.
not as common nowadays, but it is a think done, at least in my family.

This isn’t a Norwegian style of pizza, it is actually a style of american pizza called “Altoona Pizza”, from Pennsylvania.
