My understanding is that Russia struggles immensely to produce new, high tech radar units due to sanctions, so taking these out is a big deal.
These huge bulky radars are prime targets. I know Ukraine is pioneering these small interceptor drones, but don’t they have to use this kind of radar system as well? Or is there a different kind that sits further away from the front line?
