Saluti!

I built a free tool that runs a due diligence check on any property in Ireland from a Daft link

Interesting tool. I put in my eircode and it identified an address about 1km away, unfortunately.

What’s the source of eircode to address mapping and I can check my eircode there?

  2. I’ve entered seven Eircodes in Dublin and they were all wrong.

It appears to get the first three digits correct and then have a stroke for the actual address.

One thing that I’m always interested in when looking at housing is checking if it’s the first time that it’s been posted or if it’s been re-added. Not sure if that’s something you can add?

I know my home is good for being able to check the older posted ads, seeing that it went sale agreed previously and then back up etc…

Don’t release a broken app wasting peoples time

It’s usually a good idea to test your code before making it public. If it can’t even get people’s eircodes right, the rest are big claims.

    Just your usual AI slop.

Just checked a few addresses I know and the report was completely off on all of them. Some of the addresses were miles off and specified sales that didn’t exist.

I put an Eircode I know of in and the resulting property is nowhere nearby…..

Put in my eircode and it unfortunately returned the wrong house.

  9. I checked 2 addresses on this and they were both accurate, and agreed with the overall assessment! Sure there are always bugs in the beginning but I appreciate how helpful this is for folks who are looking for a home. It’s a good sense check, but of course will never replace doing a proper deep dive!
