Covid was crazy. In Bulgaria we bought a ton of vaccines, knowing full well the huge majority of people didn’t want to get vaccinated. They ended up being thrown out, some were donated.

The political pressure to buy vaccines NOW and in huge doses was astounding.

Estimates suggest that at least 215 million doses were wasted across the EU, costing taxpayers roughly €4 billion.

All this while there was a “shortage” in poorer countries.

The way it was all handled was terrible, eventually Covid went away on its own, without the need of expensive not time tested vaccines.

I’m on the side of Poland and Romania. That whole ordeal was sketchy and many countries got burned.

Pfizer is american, and there is some issues about the price and delay, from what i remember. (Not sure about that)
Sooo, i think giving a break to Poland
and Romania is more a smart move.

Anyway, i don’t see why a belgian court (or any other court from any country) can force a country to pay.

Did Pfizer deliver the advertised stuff or the defective stuff?

Ah, the scam that keeps coming back to greet us. This vaccine should have never been developed in the first place.

The reason is simple: it was not needed. The reduction in mortality was measurable but small and the cost of it enormous. Not just the net development costs, but the total cost we paid as we nuked our economies and jumpstarted the greatest inflation wave of our generation (so far).

România and Poland should do what major companies do when they are asked to pay for fines.

Say that division of the company has been closed down and its bankrupt.

    Have a nice life.
