ha, I was confused at first
it’s the Sovereign Order of Malta
similar to Denmark but symmetrical unlikely Denmark
It is officially the state flag of the Sovereign Order of Malta (SOM), but in Malta it is flown on feast days, such as today which is Easter. The Maltese fly it not for its association to the SOM but to commemorate catholic feasts and holy days.
