La casa è crollata 14 anni fa a causa dei lavori di costruzione della porta accanto. 8 anni di processo, 5 anni di appello e ancora in attesa del pieno risarcimento.

I don’t understand why the justice department has to take approximately 14 years in the first place.
Secondly, I don’t understand why there is apparently no insurance or disaster fund that can give an advancement on the repair costs and recoup those costs afterwards from whoever is hold accountable.
The way this was (not) handled basically ruined 14 years of an innocent person’s life. Disgusting.
