Anche se domenica Victor Orbán venisse estromesso, il ritorno dell’Ungheria alla democrazia liberale non sarebbe garantito

It’s a “we will see” at best
Exactly. Changing a leader is one thing, but rebuilding institutions and public trust takes years. Systems don’t reset overnight just because one person is gone.
It will be a long and rocky road. Especially with states like Serbia, Slovakia and Russia – and the US – seemingly wanting to ensure Orban and his bunch of assholes stay in power…
Orban is a commander in this group, no one will know what to do.
Don’t make the same mistake the U.S and Israel did and allow the scum to return to power.
I like The Guardian but this article is very very poorly researched … the prospects are much more promising.
Wtf is up with western news? Im liberal af, but if a center right person has good ideas and good plans why is it bad if he is elected? Now only left and far left is acceptable or wtf?
Terrible article.
Why not? Peter Magyar and Tisza is declared to bring back the democratic values. The Tisza is a democratic party, and all the candidate MPs are elected by publicly.
It would be a mistake to make a full turn into LGBTQ-loving, pro-immigration liberalism. Voters have shown many times in Eastern Europe that they are against these policies and Tisza should respect this, while turning away from Orban’s most pro-russian policies.
