I don’t know the reason but I already hear my fathers voice telling me that its probably toilet leaking.

Any leaks somewhere? Even a small leak can cause significant spikes. Toilet is the most common issue.

My tenant had the same thing, it turned out that the toilet water was not closing properly. Replaced the toilet pot.

Check for leaks. Check if toilet tank is not stuck in the open position.

The first line includes all water (Water and sewage), the second line is the volume and cost of water heating. My utility bill looks the same as yours, “Vesi ja kanalisatsioon” is a sum of all my cold + hot water.

    6. The 17m3 is all water and the 10m3 means out of all water 10m3 was warm. You pay for 17m3 of water and for 10m3 of it to be warmed. So you used 7 cold and 10 warm

It’s also possible that the water usage was more previously, but you didn’t report the water meter numbers. So at some point it gets readjusted as real numbers are reported by apartment owner? or found out otherwise.

check for your last months paper. yes vesi+kanalisatsioon is both cold+hot water, since hot water also is sent to canalisation..

You used 17m3 of water in total, from which 10m3 was heated.

Are you been reporting previous months water meter values by yourself, or someone else did it behalf of you, or are they recorded remotely by KÜ or water company? Are water meter values on the previous 1-2 months bill according what you reported back then?

If no leaks are detected anywhere, it’s a bit suspicious. However, I have also heard of a situation where a KÜ tried to settle one resident’s debts to the KÜ by increasing everyone’s water usage and making them pay more.

17m3 looks hella lot. I use dishwasher at least 2x a week, washing machine 2-3x a week. Take a shower at least once every day and I have never managed to use more than 5m3.

If your heated water and total water usage used to be about the same and now you are using 10m3 of cold watwr more – it means you are using/leaking cold water somewhere. Check the toilet and any other cold water connections after the meter.

it seems like you’re renting an apartment, is there any chance that they just divide up the water usage for the building between all tenants? meaning that a few other neighbour’s significantly increased their water usage and everyone’s bills went higher
