In terms of genealogy (specifically Croatian), going back to 1891 (the year your grandfather was born) isn’t really that old at all. However it is a great jumping off point for finding the rest of your family tree from record books, if you’re interested in that kind of thing.

Having your grandfather (not great-grandfather, but actual grandfather) born in 1891 and you being younger (I assume) than 40 is really something though. That’s a pretty huge gap in generations compared to most people. E.g. my great-great-grandfather (that’s 2 generations further than yours) was born in 1887, just 4 years before.
