Purchase power parity? Why are we surprised
Why prices differ between Lufthansa and KLM ?
Cause it’s PKP, do not expect quality experience from their sites/apps. Moreover, ČD has a neat app that tracks the train stations, allows for easy ticket management and everything, allows for ticket cancellation without loosing all money (just small cancellation fee), meanwhile PKP expects you to buy ticket through their shitty website and expects you to pay more for ticket that allows for cancellation (unless they changed that finally) 😀
Even when buying domestic tickets, it’s way less hassle to buy tickets via koleo or other third party apps.
you are comparing two unrelated things.
Apple I buy in Poland for 2PLN / kg
Same Apple I buy in Germany = 3 Euro/kg = 12 pln/kg. Why the difference?
When you are consuming or spending somewhere, never convert the currency and then check price diffs.
Always include the PPP. 4k CZK could mean enough for someone in Czechia
It’s just currency conversion mate.
Sometimes this happens and it happened to me with Ryanair so make sure to use some currency conversion service like Revolut.
Also try to book the ticket earlier like 7 days prior to your departure on PKP so you may have chance to get some discount!
Because it’s corrupted national firm.
In case of any international ride, always check the prices abroad. Often it can be up to 50% difference one way or another (sometimes it’s in Poland that it would be cheaper).
I think you are choosing tickets with possibility is returning them in IC, those are way more expensive.
