    >Mahmood told Forde’s Political Party podcast at the Duchess Theatre that claims she was chasing Reform votes were “just a way of delegitimising the point of view that I bring to the table”.
“It’s also a way of delegitimising the perfectly valid, legitimate views of millions of people in this country, including ethnic minorities in this country. And it’s not acceptable, right? And also, you’re trying to put me in a box, which includes a lot of people who think I don’t even belong in my own country.
“That’s why I said this individual can just fuck right off, because I know I belong in my own country. You’re not going to be able to do that to me,” she said.
She said there was an aspect of racism to the claims. “I do think there is that element of it, which is: ‘How dare you, a brown woman, say a thing that we white liberals think you’re not allowed to say?’ Well I’m saying it.”

In terms of immigration policy they’ve been fairly reasonably handed, it’s kind of silly how they’re simultaneously being accused of being open borders lefties and also anti immigration fascists for what has for the most part been a pretty middle of the lane campaign.

Though I guess thats the problem since people can only seem to deal in absurd extremes now.

Good… I can feel your anger. Strike me down with all of your hatred and your journey towards becoming Andrea Jenkyns will be complete!

If someone told her to fuck off we’d be hearing about how this was a ‘slippery slope’ and akin to Jo Cox.

The nerve of her to insinuate the guy was racist as well, yeah how dare he say a brown woman is wrong about something, it must be because he thinks all brown women think the same, and not because maybe she’s actually wrong.

“They’re trying to delegitimise people’s precious views” – yes that’s called disagreeing, sorry I thought this was a democracy where you’re allowed to do that…although my views have of course never been disagreed with by those in power so maybe I should check my privilege.

‘Legitimate concerns’ lol yeah where have we heard that before. Funny how the concerns of people to the left of the spectrum are never considered legitimate, but are somehow simultaneously threatening enough that they must be stamped out with extreme prejudice.

Cannot wait till this lot get a pasting next month (in the elections, don’t worry I’m not inciting violence!) it’s gonna be hilarious. Will be the nasty lefties fault as always of course.

My belief that the UK should become an AI powered panopticon is founded on the solid bedrock of Labour party authoritarianism and contempt for personal liberty, not the vote chasing populism of Reform.

  6. More performative outrage over swear words. You radicals are awesome🤪

Whether you agree with her policies or not I think more politicians should be willing to swear at idiots.

Good on her. The more I hear from her, the more I like her. Just carrying on trying to be competent which is more than can be said of a lot of current abd previous ministers

She should be allowed to get on with her job. I hate to be that guy, but the “Refugees Welcome” and “Open Borders” crowd just need to read the room and shut up.

We need to be like Denmark: a social democracy with LGBT rights, reproductive rights, national healthcare, workers’ rights etc etc, but with an uncompromising stance on illegal immigrants and criminals from abroad, because there’s nothing in the ECHR saying we have to keep them in this country.

If we don’t do that, we’ll be saddled with either Farage’s American Christian nationalist bullshit, or Rupert Lowe’s (possible) white nationalism (we’ve had, for example, 3rd/4th generation Afro-Carribean and Indian communities who have integrated really well, and don’t deserve their lives turning upside down).

It’s actually very brave of her to do what she is doing, she very well may lose her seat in the next election because of these views/policies, but is still pressing on

She sucks and can’t be ousted soon enough. Her and the entire blue labour group need to go for the party to have any credibility as a leftwing party.

And there she goes again, up in my estimation. Good on you Shabana.
