Image is the poop in question, if anyone is interested in seeing it.

Shit on the neighbors car to assert dominance. Then the cat is required by law to obey you.

  3. If you catch the cat use a spray bottle filed with water. So you can safely scare the cat away.

This seems obvious but these days you never know, have you tried walking about it with your neighbour before involving barely legal stuff?

    1) clean the car to remove any pheromones

    2) spray some cat repulsive either on the parts where said cats usually shits, or alternatively all around the car on the lower part so as to fence off the vehicle from further sabotage.

Sorry, but LOL 😂 Thanks for the image, very helpful…

Hard to control cats, although that is pretty weird behavior.

Anyway, as a realistic tip: spread some grated orange peel on your car. Cats dislike citrus, and if you do this for a few days, the cat should get used to going elsewhere.

I have this exact same issue with the cat even shitting in the same spot. What is it they have with the antenna 😂

  9. Shoot at it with a water pistol, when it jumps onto the car.

  10. Take the shit and put it in neighbors post box or on his car.

Really unlikely to be a cat as others have said. They usually shit on flat surface only if they have no choice and the fact that the spray didn’t work at all is strange. Do you use products to wash your car? Maybe the animal that shit on your car like the odour of it.

  12. That does not look like a cat-shit, its more a product of a marten.

  13. did you talk with your neighbour about this problem? In my opinion, friendly communication is key. Also most people seem to be openminded, if you try to explain the situation nicely without anger or threathening legal steps (which i guess there aren‘t any). Your neighbor can‘t mindcontrol his cat, neither (i recon) did he tell/train her to go shit on your car. In my experience with animals: maybe if you ask your neighbour if you are allowed to shush away the cat more aggressively when you see her on your property (no physical touch!). Cats are quite smart and remember such things vividly and this might lead to her avoiding being near your property. The next step, ONLY with allowance of your neighbour, is maybe putting up a cat trap with some food. You can get these at your local animal shelter. Be sure that someone is around and can transport the cat back to your neighbour asap, so you don‘t put much stress on the cat. This comperativly low stress scenario might lead to the cat avoiding your garage at least for a bit without her getting harmed.

If all fails: Get a canvas cover for your car. Simple solution, but it‘ll take time to put it on / off your car.

  14. That’s from a marten, not a cat. For some reason they always poop near or on fin antennas.
The footprints look very similar to those from cats, but those made by martens have claws.

In my case they also damaged the car several times. Deterrent sprays didn’t help for me. But since I have an ultrasound deterrent (with light effects), I have no more trouble.

Laminate the poo and use it as a parking marker
    > “This poo spot is reserved for: The Cat.”

Swiss parking etiquette is sacred, even cats will respect a laminated boundary.

Did you notice? The shape of the poop is like the shape of the antenna. Pointy head leaning towards right side. As if the cat is copying it 🤣

Nerf pistol, a sharp reminder but isn’t painful, cat will learn the car is not their toilet

  18. maybe this is the same as snow on your roof – the police will measure the depth of poop and you will be fined accordingly

Take the poop (latex gloves recommended) and smear it over the windshield of the neighbors car.

Sorry OP, but I think this is the photograph of the year! 😁

I agree with others, probably not a cat. I have two cats and they have never pood like this nor would they do it there. They poo in discreet areas and zoom off because of instinct telling them a predator may detect the smell and they should not be nearby.

So strange for a cat to do as they normally bury their poop.

Marders often poop on and around cars. I had one of those once, one day it had curled up to sleep in the engine compartment (I hadn’t noticed), and when I started driving, there was a terrible rumbling, and a dead marder fell out of the back of the car. So better to have a Marder on the car than inside it…

Thats a Marder poop… I recommend you to get an anti marder device installed, otherwise you will be surprised with critical damages to your car.

That’s not from a cat, my friend. That’s from a Martin (a type of weasel). We have one that poos on our apartment stairs. It’s a form of territory marking. They will even fight with cats.

They are very destructive so you will want to do everything you can to dissuade them from coming around. They are known to chew car wires and hoses.

nothing. that’s normal cat behaviour under swiss law. You are allowed to use deterrents that frighten or annoy the cat, such as water sprays, noise, or special water/sound-based devices. Not poison or anything that hurts that animal.

Speak with neighbours and see what they suggest

It could also be a marten (Marder). There are two ways to differentiate. If you have paw prints on your car (maybe you have to wait until the weather is bad again so they have wet feet) you can see if it has 4 or 5 toes. Cats have their fifth toe on their leg so their paw print has only 4 toes, martens have 5. Another one is if they “slide” down the front window (which slide traces instead of paw-prints) it is most likely a marten. Cats have superb grip and almost never slide.
