In my opinion (since my job requires me to travel regularly), Spain has its pros and cons, just like any other country, of course, but it’s surprisingly less nationalistic or chauvinistic compared to countries with much lower overall quality of life and life expectancy, like if they weren’t aware of their perks and would focus on their points to be improved. Afaik these results don’t surprise me. The food, the weather, the general character of the people are outstanding. However, political tension is out of the charts (I’ll better let other people elaborate). Anyways I’d like to recall a saying that goes something like, “If someone speaks ill of Prussia, they’re French, and if they speak ill of Spain, they’re Spanish.” That’s an attitude that has always puzzled me.
