Welcome. As a Swede who used to live in Belgium:
1) Don’t be scared of the tall green things. They’re called trees, they’re just a large kind of plant. They can’t hurt you.
2) Please open a gaufre (de Liège, of course) food truck that sells illegally imported Neuhaus under the counter.

Välkommen till Sverige kompis!
The language is a bit tough in the beginning. But try to really focus on listening to the melody of how we speak. This is key when speaking Swedish. Watch some of your favorite like Disney movies dubbed to Swedish with subtitles.
Also a good start is to buy a couple of Donald Duck comics or similar (Kalle Anka & Co or Kalle Ankas Pocket). They often use easier words and is a great way to get a foundation to any language. You should be able to find some of these very cheap in our local thrift shops, called “Second Hand”-stores in Sweden.
Skål och hoppas du kommer trivas här tillsammans med oss!
