Ho realizzato una raccolta di alcune delle chiese/cupole/cattedrali più belle della Germania.
Il mio preferito dovrebbe essere "Cattedrale di Aquisgrana" poiché sembra così leggendario, come un simbolo della civiltà occidentale.

Not even saying it’s “the” most beautiful one, but Frankfurt is missing in this lineup. Twice.
Once for St. Bartholomew’s and once for St. Paul’s.
Kölner Dom — something that feels really special
The Universum Science Center in Bremen
I do love that picture of Passau
All of them 🥰
Ulmer Münster ✌🏻
Ulm Minster is a famous Gothic church in Ulm, whose main tower, at 161.53 meters, was considered the tallest church tower in the world until the completion of the Sagrada Família in 2025. As the largest Protestant church in Germany, it is a central landmark, its construction beginning in 1377 and being completed in 1890. Visitors can climb the tower for a view over the city.
I will always vouch for this little known cathedral in lower Bavaria south of Munich called Stiftskirche Maria Geburt in Rottenbuch. Best described as if a wedding cake exploded onto its ceilings.

Trier Cathedral for me, but I’m definitely biased cause it’s my hometown 😄
I think I have to give it to Dresden, also I would add to the list the Marienkirche of Lubeck.
I’ll just add the little Church of Lindenhof to the list which scored 2nd place on the most beautiful churches competition in Hessen.
Gudulakirche in Rhede. Nicht die größte oder prunkvollste aber wirklich schön. Gerade von innen ☺️
Köln – Aachen – Freiburg
The most german church, the Autobahnkirche: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autobahnkirche_Baden-Baden
I‘m in love with every Romanesque church. I just prefer this earlier medieval, less complicated look.
The one at 11 looks really old for some reason.
15 too
You inserted Maria Laach? GOAT!
In 2025 I did some personal “challenge” and managed to hike every day to Maria Laach. Roughly 11km away from my hometown.
The Kölner Dom needs a good pressure wash.
Lorenzkirche in Nürnberg is nice
Magdeburger Dom ❤️
Personally I would say the Kaiserdom in Speyer, because I have a soft spot for Romanesce Architecture. But I’d also like to give a shoutout to the Nevigeser Dom, a really unique and captivating building
I wish you would name the church/locations with the pictures.
I don’t know if it’s the “most beautiful” one, but I love the Marktkirche in Wiesbaden
Why are there no churches from Northern Germany?
Regensburger Dom von innen; sehr dunkel und wunderbares Licht durch unglaublich schöne bunte Fenster
Trier Dom
You included speyer but missed the gorgeous Gedächtniskirche
Magdeburger Dom as this is peak medieval Gothic style.
Where is the one on the 2nd picture?
To throw one from Northern Germany into the room: The Schleswiger Dom. Especially so when you see it from across the Schlei, standing watch over the entire city
I’m biased because it’s my hometown, but: The [Hildesheim Cathedral](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hildesheim_Cathedral?wprov=sfti1) or the [St. Michael’s Church in Hildesheim](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Michael's_Church,_Hildesheim?wprov=sfti1)
St. Bartholomä
Nürnberg and Eichstätt (biased cause hometown). Also Aachen, Trier and a lot in the north. Imho Backsteingotik is very underrated.
For me it is the church of Köthen (Anhalt)
