  1. They will sell this as a “win” for you, because it’s a line item it can be removed when oil returns to normal, rather than increasing you cost… of course you can be sure the main service will increase enough by then that they won’t be out of pocket when they kindly remove it.

What’s a return to normal price point? If you are getting in touch find that out.

Sneaky? They contacted you about a €1.18/month surcharge, considering prices nowadays that’s still fairly considerate of them

NAh feck this. Cap company profits and tax the rest. ITs getting ridiculous.

HOw much loss has Panda made since entering the market?

(Edit, I will also add the mandtory increase of Broadband prices by a certain percentage plus inflation is also BS.

Listening to Matt Cooper the other day, he had the M for Expenditure on, he wa ssaying they cant gurantee all Corporation tax? YEt the corpos can gurantee our bills go up year on year?)

Screw these guys, if you want to cancel their service, no matter how long you have been with them, they will try and charge €50 per bin to collect them after you cut ties with them.

    > until now we’ve absorbed the rising costs

Absorbed rising costs my hole. They increased prices 9% two months ago.

Heavy trucks… Are they/companies getting the fuel package from the government as well as individuals?

  10. 16c per load… 800-1,200 households per truck…

There’s no way they could be using it as an opportunity to profit… could they?

Good thing we aren’t essentially legally mandated to engage a service that wouldn’t do something like that.

Oddly enough, my employer has not contacted me yet to inform me of my wages increase to alleviate the recent fuel price surge… maybe tomorrow.

  12. This is USC for bin providers.

    Temporarily indefinite charge.

  13. Mushie_Peas on

Why the fuck did we ever let them privatise waste collection. Whole thing is a rort now.

  14. How is it sneaky? They literally sent you a mail up front telling you about it?

I’m not sure you understand the meaning of the word.

  15. CanioEire on

They also use electric trucks to collect waste, are those customers exempt from the surcharge?

Oil prices are going to be high for at least several years. If you have a house and can afford it, install solar panels, switch to an EV, improve your insulation. If you have done all that, consider helping a friend or family member or neighbour. And do it soon, because it’s going to get worse.

Would love to know if there is a provision in the contract to allow this or if you can just say “no thank you”.
