That judge at the deportation tribunal should be sacked and named.

This could have been avoided so fucking easily but nope, we have to harm ourselves instead.
The Home Office knew what he’d done a few years ago.

>But the fact that Oladele would be “a complete outsider should he relocate to Nigeria” and that he had a “developed private life having grown up in the United Kingdom” outweighed the public interest in deporting him.
So when did he come to the UK? It sounds like he’s been here a long time.

>He was also previously jailed in 2022 for a sexually-motivated attack and it has emerged he successfully fought against deportation to Nigeria on human rights grounds and later Home Office appeals.
We are not a serious country.

>When he carried out the attack, he was already on bail over another rape allegation in his home city of Manchester in November 2024.
>He was also previously jailed in 2022 for a sexually-motivated attack
As a survivor who has campaigned for years to get the criminal justice system to take rape seriously, this is infuriating but sadly not surprising.
Why was he allowed out on bail following an accusation of rape when he’s previously been jailed for sexual violence? Maybe if it’s the first time someone has ever been in trouble with the law then this would be more understandable. But if you’ve been to prison for a similar crime before, then allowing that person to just go back to their everyday life puts more people at risk (and *especially* the person who is making allegations against them).
