  1. Be nice, folks, he’ll act as soon as Papa Putin tells him to

  2. You can reasonably expect geopolitical priorities of Morocco, Greece, and Bulgaria to become significantly more important to US foreign policy as a replacement for countries like Spain and Italy. Would be completely logical for the US to shift countries for their bases if it is susceptible to unreliable activist politics within that country.

Do Germany too. What is the point of them being there if they are just gonna operate as a rogue state anyways?

His handlers will remind him that they need these bases to project strength or at least try to project it.

Be funny to watch them pull out of Europe and realize they can’t project power to the Middle East anymore and protect their buddies in Israel from doing war crimes. Their bases in the region are pretty much toast as well. Maybe they will have to solve their issues at home then.

Good. The sooner the better. Its absolute insanity to have an enemy on our soil which in the US national security strategy aims at destroying EU and supporting pro-Putin, anti-democratic authoritarians in all of Europe. The day Trump decides to use military force against Europe, not a single member of congress will stop him and not a single US general will go against orders.

This is classic “cutting off the nose to spite the face” behavior. Europe has been an essential part of U.S. strategic power since WW2 – an essential platform for power projection.

Pulling out of European countries because they hurt your feelings, or cannot be easily cowed/manipulated into a war (remember kids, build the coalition first…) is an incredibly stupid decision.

It’s no less or more than I expect from him, but that does not make it less disappointing.

I get their presence in Europe during the Cold War era, but other than some sort of immediate strategic deployment, I don’t know why they would still be there. Nato?

To quote one of the Italian top-actor within our security infrastructure, “ci stiamo cacando sotto!”

Bruh last time he said they most likely wont extend the ceasefire and guess what they did? Extendes the ceasefire.

We should accept that the us president is a demented old man.

Having troops indirectly under Putin’s command inside Europe is a security risk.

  12. Why would you let enemy bases/missile magnets in your country?
