      And we still have knuckle draggers on social media criticising celebrities who come out and claiming ‘nobody cares about your sexuality’.

      Side note, as a gay guy I find it really fucking annoying and sad there’s still so many gay jokes in society and how comfortable people are with them. I saw an Instagram reel the other day saying ‘if you’re reading this then you’re gay’ or whatever and it had thousands of likes and people tagging their friends.

      I just hate people man.

      Its worrying given the location as that street is home to a well known gay pub. Hope it wasnt related as had a good few nights there.

      Simple rule for everyone: dont be a dickhead. That doesn’t mean we have to stand around being all sheepish if people start being dickheads either, and it applies in all directions. Please just don’t be a dickhead.

      Will this get anywhere near as much attention as Jews being attacked? Doubt it. A gay club was set on fire a few days ago and I haven’t seen a single peep from any politician.

      Me and my mate saw this happen after we finished our event at the crown, it was 3 black lads doing nos on the steps and these two guys seemed to be having a verbal disagreement before the guys doing nos started to beat the shit out of them. The guy who’s in critical condition had his head stomped on was absolutely awful.

      Being homophobic in this day and age is pathetic and in Bristol of all places really hits home the sort of times we are living in.

      I’ve seen a lot of rather casual gay-hatred in my life, so I’m not surprised that this bullshit persists in 2026. 

      However, I don’t see Reform UK being the proponents of that, besides an overlap perhaps with *some* of their voters being on the slightly dimmer side. It seems a lot of people in this discussion are using this incident to rattle of their anti-Reform rhetoric and I don’t think that is well-founded.
