>The EU banned imports of aluminum produced in Russia in February 2025 in an effort to sever an income stream that could be used to fund Moscow’s war. But it has not prohibited the export of alumina to Russia
France is still sending Uranium to be reprocessed in Russia.
Many EU nations are continuing to fund the invasion by purchase Russian oil and gas.
Ukraine isn’t conscripting *all* of its citizens into the war effort

As someone who looks at sanctioned entities and people on a daily basis, its absolutely mental the sanctions avoidance going on right now. Many Irish company’s who sell duel use goods for example have seen their Russian customer base collapse but massive growth to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, and Armenia. Its a never ending battle and one that can’t be won, there’s also plenty of everyday company’s owned and operated by sanctioned Russians, with their identities hidden behind complex company structures, shell company’s and proxies making sure the goods get to Russia one way or another.
