Kind of wild how quickly these roles can shift.
Feels like the past few years forced a lot of countries to rethink how dependent they are on others.
Europe ramping up its own capacity was probably inevitable.
Less about who’s ‘on top’ and more about adapting to a more uncertain world.
Still interesting to watch it happen in real time.

World tensions heated up just in time for Germany to keep all it’s industrial capacities and jobs lol

Sadly this will probably anger the “USA number 1” type of American, even though it is exactly the type of thing Trump asked for when he said Europe should pull its own weight.

This is good news. Every comment “suggesting” bad Germany cannot read the news and see this is necessary for Europe as a whole or they are worried their overlords might be in trouble trying to bully Europe.

Old article and already posted here multiple times I think.

Having Germany Poland as large ammunition producers is great for Europe

So Ukraine and all of Europe can be supported.  And it’s nice businesses.

I feel like this is including factories in other countries as well, like Australia and South Africa.

If Germany were to spend 5% of GDP in Defense (as the US allegedly wants) they would be the worlds 3rd bigger spender (after the US and China)

In that scenario it would be absurd to spend so much money and not develop a nuclear weapon

I’ve read this headline dozens of times in the past few days but I can’t believe there is any country which produces more ammo than the US. Can anyone fact-check this?

    >”At the same time, in 2025, the company received *350,000* applications from candidates, of which *250,000* were from Germany.

    >Rheinmetall currently employs *44,000* people, and the number of employees is expected to increase to *70,000* by 2030. An additional *210,000* people may be employed in supply chains.

    >Papperger emphasized that the concern cooperates with *11,500* German suppliers, of which *4,500* also work with car manufacturers.

    >He predicts that arms production could replace about a third of jobs in Germany’s automotive industry, which is facing cuts.”

Remember these numbers, because in the future peace will mean job losses.

I mean not the first time we Germans got that title… anyways lets hope we don’t repeat the other things from those days

finally! its time to get BIG FUCKIN CANNON for europe🇪🇺🇪🇺🇪🇺

  14. Yeeeeah, artillery shells aren’t everything. It will be a long time before Europe is truly self sufficient. We still desperately need the U.S for defence.

I wonder how the US will feel when Europe is able to independently dictate its own foreign policy in contradiction to the US.

Imagine if the Iran situation occured, but the UK, France and Germany sent two carrier groups and took payment from China and India to maintain the flow of Persian oil? Totally undermining the US efforts to project Israeli defense policy on Iran in doing so.

Its Rheinmetall not Germany. Rheinmetall also produces large quantities of ammunition in Europe not specifically in Germany. The title is a lie.

I wonder if magats will ever realize that harm they’ve done to the country they supposedly love. But that requires thinking

Germany is feeding Ukraine. The US isn’t. Funny how sales drive revenue.

In the west maybe, I highly doubt they are producing more than Russia or China
