As a Turk, I think our country could have normalized relations with Armenia years earlier if Azerbaijan’s geopolitics weren’t holding us back.
There is no reason for the border not to be opened. In my opinion, Pashinyan is a chance for peace in the Caucasus, and this opportunity should not be missed. I hope he gets re-elected his efforts are admirable.
The fact that the source is an anonymous MFA official to a trustworthy but quite small news agency indicates that Turkey know Azerbaijan spread the rumors and didn’t want to call them out on it too publically. The source of the rumor seems to be AZfront, I couldn’t find any older source.
