Il fatalismo climatico e il disimpegno in Svizzera sono in aumento

This might be an unpopular opinion, but the blocking highways, roads, people, etc. was a massive shot in the foot to the climate movement. I personally still act as much as I can in my personal life, but I also understand why people got annoyed at it.

Finger pointing at people for going on vacation for a week and for eating meat also isn’t the best of methods to get your point across.

Yeah can’t care less for climate change. You want to save the earth for whom ?

Society doesn’t want you in the future, you are saving the earth for people who don’t like you.

You can’t do kids anymore. It’s too expensive. You can’t afford a house, it’s too expensive, it’s the worst country on earth if you want to buy a house. Entire districts of Geneva belong to big corpo already and it’s getting worse and worse.

What can you buy with the few money you have from slaving your way away ? You pay SERAFE, and then?

You can’t build a family, too expensive. Can’t own a house. You can’t own a car because it’s stupid and too expensive, you buy the cheapest one to go to your shfit at work, of course a car that is not electric because your budget is 2500 CHF for a car.

People are motivated to fight to save the planet when they know it is to save themselve and it makes sense because it is the most important problem at that moment. It is not the 1st problem for most people on earth because everything is getting shittier.

It’s a luxury you have when your society is working : you have a job, a roof, you can have a family, you don’t fear for your future that they will fire you and hire an European who will work for 60% of your salary and live in a closet and be happy with that because his country is burning so any salary will do.

When you have all these luxuries, you can tell to myself : “gosh, I want my kids to live in a clean planet so I may work for ecology!”

But now ? You are here, struggling to buy your groceries because McKinsey decided to change the package of toasts by removing 75% of the quantity for the same price to make a few elites richer.

And you have rich students who never paid any SERAFE of their lives telling you to sacrifice the few quality of life you have to save the future.

What future ?

If your society is becoming so shitty that nobody believes in the future, why would they try to work to make it better? You want the planet clean for what ? The cuckroaches ? The rats ? You are bound to disappear because you can’t afford to make kids and you have parasites who want to suck you dry even more while you are still alive for beautiful concepts. And this is why people are pissed off against ecologists during our era.

And even if you sacrifice everything Switzerland is so small it will never change anything, it’s less than 0.1% of the total pollution. Some people in Switzerland are too rich and have too little to do to fight for their lives that they have time to bother people who try to make things going for them. They piss off people.

And this is why ecology is becoming less and less popular these past years.

Yes I have a few money left after paying SERAFE, yes I will use it to do 45 min flight to go to vacations once a year because I can’t use that money for my kids or for my mortgage because I can’t afford any of that.

Can’t tell a hungry rat to save the world while he has already issues surviving, and expect him to not be upset at the idea. That’s not how mammals are wired.

Nobody is cool with protecting something that got stolen from them. They are angry and that’s normal.

The left‘s messaging sucks like always. Online it‘s even worse with all the doomers and „humanity deserves to end“ people.
