In a world where so much news feels angry and exhausting lately, its honestly refreshing to see a story thats just about two people finally getting equal recognition and getting to celebrate their marriage properly

      Happy for them.

      > According to an Ipsos+ poll last year, 67% of Poles support same-sex marriage or legal recognition of unions for LGBTQ+ couples.

I’m unable to find that poll. What I have found, however, is a Pew Research poll conducted in 2019 where only 47% of Polish respondents think their society should accept homosexuality. Ipsos’ 2025 Pride Report contains people’s views on various aspects relevant to LGBT representation from 23 countries and finds, among other things, that 38% of Polish respondents do not approve of LGBT people’s public displays of affection (vs. 26% who approve), which is in stark contrast to attitudes of respondents in Spain (61% approval vs. 11% disapproval) or Sweden (59% approval vs. 12% disapproval).

So Poland’s still got a long way to go.

    3. This is all I want for the world: just people being happy and together, doing no harm to anyone and not being harmed because of it. Is that so much to ask?
