Due anni fa, Gurgen Simonyan ha pubblicato sulla sua pagina Facebook la sua idea di come dovrebbe essere l’emblema dell’esercito.
"Pubblico l’emblema delle Forze Armate della Repubblica d’Armenia, che ho sviluppato e rivisto anni fa. Ho conservato la forma precedente, corretta secondo le regole araldiche e arricchita con semiotica e simboli vittoriosi e ricchi."
Ora, il Ministero della Difesa ha adottato una versione molto simile a quello stemma come proprio emblema.

Does anyone knows what the center symbol is?
UPDATE: It’s an Armenian church symbol, 8 wings cross.
It represents the divinity of Jesus and the reign of eternity (resurrection and 7 days of the new start).
The one on the left looks pretty good, the one on the on the right looks like it was designed by a toddler.
This does not actually conform to heraldic rules

Feels so forced with pashinyans Armenian map symbol on it.
Who is Gurgen Simonyan?
I hate the minimalism and everything, even though I hated the two years in the army, the emblem was good. This for me is just Pashinyan’s forced reshaping of things that though mecessary, could have been done better.
Also feels rushed. Plus the map has become so political I don’t even wanna see it now.
The only good part of this new version is that the MoD’s version has an angry eagle, while Gurgen’s eagle gasps
