I work in the financial services sector. Lloyds have a reputation for being a less than pleasant employer.
I really don’t understand what the GDPR legitimate interest is here? It’s not consent, and driving down your employees pay is not a legitimate interest.
This is ridiculously corrupt considering that employees need to have a Lloyds bank account.

Close the bank. Everyone involved needs to go to jail, possibly lose the key, and the shareholders lose everything.
If a bank is willing to do this, they’re a clear and present national security threat.
