Timeline of the 1996 Events
* **August 2, 1996**: The European Federation of Motorcyclists starts the protest ride from Berlin.
* **August 11, 1996**: Motorcyclists arrive at the Deryneia checkpoint. Tassos Isaac is beaten to death by a counter-demonstration group.
* **August 14, 1996**: Following Isaac’s funeral, a new demonstration takes place. Solomos Solomou is shot and killed while climbing the flagpole.
15 to 20 July is the anniversary of the Greek Junta Coup of Cyprus, not Motorcyclist protests, nor the killing of Solomou or Tassos. What am I missing here?
