Poor Mayo, what a terrible record!!

For every win they have 6 All-Ireland final loses. The ratio wasn’t too bad until 1989 when it was 1 win for every 2 losses.

They’ve played 13 finals since 1989 and not won any!

When you look at football and hurling there are only a few counties with a realistic chance of ever winning.

I never trust anyone from a smaller county that brings up their love of the GAA.

Cork and Galway the only Counties in green in both men’s senior codes?

    4. Jesus maybe Mayo are cursed lol. Also the amount of counties that have never even made it to a final is insane, just makes the likes of Kerry’s huge amount of finals in the football or Kilkenny’s in the hurling all the more impressive.

I’m a Meath man, it’s good to see the men’s and ladies footballers have gotten to the final and even won it a few times, but we need to up our game when it comes to hurling/Camogie obviously!

These are brilliant, daughter is absolutely loving analysing them!

Hurling really shows how concentrated the south is, while football is much more spread across the country.

    7. 1891 baby! Hurling is treated as lower than second class in Kerry. You wouldn’t be caught dead holding a hurley

Is there any cultural reason that Northern Ireland are into Football?

London 0-5! Is that a mistake or am I reading it wrong. Surely they never made it to an all Ireland final? And they won a hurling all Ireland? I’m
      genuinely shocked!

Galway the northern most county to win a hurling championship really tells a story
