Vivo a Franken con molti birrifici fantastici e riporto le casse vuote ai negozi da cui le ho acquistate per assicurarmi che tornino al birrificio giusto.
Se restituissi una di queste casse a Colonia, Amburgo o Berlino, tornerebbero ai birrifici qui nella zona di Bamberga? Esiste un sistema per questo?

Most bottles (especially from smaller breweries) are absolutely generic. In the recycling process, the recycling companies remove the labels and just sell them to the nearest brewery anyway.
The crate would eventually reappear at the original brewery if you return it to a big enough Getränkemarkt. But you wouldn’t necessarily get the crate Pfand back unless your market recognizes that crate. You would get bottle Pfand back regardless.
Most Shops only accept bottles and crates from Brands they also sell. If they are Standard 0,5l brown Glass bottles, they maybe accept them without selling the Brand but they won’t accept the crates.
If the crates wander too far away from home, they are shredded instead of shipped back.
